Please don't use a PSI measurement. Please use a HP goal. 90% of the ones used are either the HX35 or HX40 for best fitment and use. The HX40 is more for the higher topend street/strip people over 500whp, while the HX35 is a more subtle version that is good for a bit over 400whp or so. The compressor housings are a bit large, so be careful. The best source in the country right now for Holset is Nick at The Turbo Trader. He has the right applications for hondas. Google "the turbo trader" and CALL him, as opposed to e-mail or PM. He is best to contact by PHONE.

go with the hx35...
hy has the 9cm housing.. quicker spool... some guys even run it on their 1.6's... although, the quick spool with a gsr's top end might make for a ton of fun check the maps, but I think you'd still have lots of air at the top... if in doubt, go for the hx35 (or even h1c... bigger housing again..)

HX35 is rated way higher than 400hp.. If I recall correctly the HX35 is good until 600whp.
It lags a lot compared to a T3/T04E I used previously, but the 5k rpm and beyond trump the T04E. On my budget B16A build it spools around 4800 to 5000 and hits full boost shortly after. It actually hooks up a lot better too because of the lag. T04E used to spool around 3500 and spun until rev limit.
Hy35 is the best for sub-400whp daily driver.

got it from a friend, brand new still in the cummins box. i think he said it wasn't "accounted" for at a dodge dealership repair so he got it for nothing.

Re: Model Holset for my B18C1?
I have the hy35 on my gsr makin 325whp @ 11psi. If you want more than 450whp you wanna go with the hx35. If not the hy35 is perfect. Full boost by ~3800rpm. The only real pain is the massive cold side and the 4" dp. Other than that these damn things are made very sturdy. Its a damn tank..........

I would suggest the hx40 and you can see the comparison to a gt30r http://turbobyholset.com/forum/hx40/...6r-dyno-sheet/
