I have used it and it works fine. Uberdata 1.8 supports live editing with Moate's Ostrich. You have to turn off the live edit when saving your tune.

I use both the Xtronics Romulator and the Ostrich, they both work great for me. I like the ostrich because it is dedicated USB, no usb-serial adapters needed..

Ostrich works awsome! If you don't have it yet, just imagine being able to tune your idle perfectly in a matter of 1-2 minutes. It saves a ton of time.

Yep, I need to step up and get one. The USB to Serial crap pisses me off most days

Re: Moates Ostrich Realtime Emulator (xenocron)
I bought my Ostrich almost a month ago and I haven't used it in my car yet. I need to learn how to use it though with my turbo install coming up.

There's like a 16-18 page thread for UD v1.8 on the uberforums for like the longest time. How could you miss a huge thread like that? hehehe

I remember reading about how some people were having issues with 1.7LE and Ostrich though. IIRC it had something to do with the cells randomly changing, even if you weren't using it in LE mode. 1.7ost2 was more stable from what I rmember, you just had to get around the issue with UD only recognizing one firmware version of the Ostrich. All you have to do for that is update the Ostrich firmware or something.
EDIT: also wasn't there an issue with 1.7LE saving .bins to 256kb files instead of 32kb files like they were supposed to? I had this problem and I think it was when I was working with 1.7LE.
