missing link problem
when i intall the missing link on the throttle body the car wont idle and wont rev, but when i just connect the map sensor without it the car runs and idles great, just messes up when hits boost ? any ideas?
Get your ecu tuned and throw that missing link away. Stock ecu cant understand boost and it goes to limp mode when map sensor see boost. Its only trying to keep your engine safe from stupid users.
I ran a missing link for two years on low boost with absolutely no issues.Just keep the boost low and you will be ok and i know tunning the car will be a night/day difference but it will work.
I have try it too. I had walbro + FMU +aem frp. 3-4psi it was good, 7 psi afr goes to 16. Even basemap chipped ecu is better than missing link / check valves. NJ VTECpowered go to http://www.pgmfi.org

you must have a peace of **** missing link. How I know? Cause everytime you hit boost the map sensor is reading so much forced air which the map sensor throws a code to the ecu and the check engine light comes on. This means you are in limp mode. Get a blox missing link or a 3bar map sensor. stock map sensors with a missing link only hold 11psi max until limp mode. anything over 11psi get a 3bar map sensor. hope this helps.
dump the missing link, and fmu. Buy some dsm injectors, and get you ecu chipped with a base bin file that somebody used. You car will run better and you will have less chance of blowing up. or spend $400 more and have somebody tune it for you.
