Default misfire q's

a couple questions. i just recently started got my turbo installed on my b18b. now i'm getting CEL codes for 71, 72, 73, and 74 (misfire on cylinders 1-4) now my questions are these. will a vaccum leak cause a misfire? will the motor misfire if it's running too rich? i just did a valve adjustment last night, and it runs a lot better, but still idles like crap. is there anyway to tell if valves are bent or sticking by just taking the valve cover off? thanks for your help.

cliff's notes...
1. can vaccum leak cause misfire?
2. will running too rich cause a misfire?
3. is it possible to tell if valves are bent or sticking by simply taking valve cover off?

ok, now i'm really confused...the CEL went away. i didn't touch anything, and this isn't the first time that it's happened either. it'll come on for a few days, then go off. normally it just comes back on about 10 minutes later, but it's been going on 9 hours and hasn't come back on. i know i should be glad that the CEL isn't on anymore, but i guess i just want to know how it could have "fixed" itself. anyone have any input?

what kinda plugs are you running. what is your gap.

most likely that's your issue.

if your runing over 10psi. get 2 degree colder plugs and gap then at 28

a vacuum leak will cause misfires on all cylinders
runnig rich will cause misfires on all cylinders
yes, if you take the valve cover off and cams out, you can look at the retainers and valve springs, if any of them are sitting significantly lower than the rest, that valve is probably bent.

you prolly dont have bent valves. your can ran ok before the turbo right. either a vaccum leak. you will have many with turbo cars. , running rich or the spark plugs.

what kinda fuel management you running.

platinum.

car ran great before turbo...i'll check all the vaccum connections tomorrow. i had the plugs gapped at .3 but it ran like crap. runs a lot better after i gapped them to .35. my guess is that i'm running too rich right now. stupid afc hack. going hondata in less than a month hopefully
