misfire codes with greddy kit
I am using ngk zfr7f-11 plugs with my turbo setup and after about 2 days of driving I get a cel. Five codes come up cyl misfire 1,2,3,4, and a random misfire code. When I delete the codes with my scanner, they come back within 2 days. I have triple checked the plug gap with the basic pep boys keychain style gapper(set @ .30) . Everything is wired up correctly with the injectors and fmu. The air temp is around 30 degrees here latley(dont know if that is related at all). Anyone have some suggestions???I thought that most people are happy with there ngk plugs, and I have never had a problem with them. Could it be because the tip of the plug is bent over farther than the rest of the plug? Any different gapping styles?? Thanks for any help at all..

Re: misfire codes with greddy kit (99lspwr)
are you using a FMU or the GReddy FCU? if it's the FCU, GReddy says you'll get a lot of misfire codes and/or a MAP sensor code when the blue box goes bad. If that's the case, you need to contact them to let them know what's up, and they'll have you send it in to get checked and possibly reprogrammed.

Re: misfire codes with greddy kit (Trac226)
I went through the same exact thing......I would get cylinder 1 misfire, the 2, then 4, then random cylinder misfire. Changed my plugs and checked the gaps plenty of times. rotor and wires were good so I would just clear them as they came. After about a month they stopped coming up and I haven't seen them since.....so im keeping my fingers crossed

Re: misfire codes with greddy kit (greddyturboGSR)
I am using the greddy blue box, and my cap, rotor, and fuel filter are new(oem) parts. Plug wires are oem as well, and are not that old. My car runs smooth and all, but those damn cel lights are quite annoying. This is the last kink I have to work out of my car, otherwise the turbo setup is working out good. How about iridium plugs??? Something that u dont have to gap...
