Mickey T Fender Modifications??????
Hey whats going on guys. I am almost finished with my setup and I have a few questions relatin to Mickey T ETs. I am looking to put down about 400 hp with my setup. I am trying to decide on whats the smallest Mickey Thompson 15 inch tire I can get? Also will I have to do anything to my fenders to make them fit?
I also would like to know if running those radials with stock GSR transmission will I break anything? If So do you guys recommend the BFG drag radials over the Nitto 555R?
Thanks for the replies

the smallest one they make is 205/50/15 which is pretty much stock size on integras. they also make a 225/50/15 that should work with no modification (might need to raise the car a bit)
its highly unlikely that you would ever break anything during normal street driving. even on the track i dont think you are going to have any problems with a DOT radial. MT, BFG, Nitto, they are are the same idea

I would not recommend using a low profile tire in drag racing..if you're concerned with tire height, get a 13in wheel and fit the same tire diameter similar to your proposed 15s.the added tire wall would absorb shock load during hard launches helping your transmission live longer.

I think he is asking about tires for the street on an integra. Not many aftermarket 13" wheels. And if there were, they may not clear his brakes.

Re: Mickey T Fender Modifications??????
Im sorry I havent been on here since I posted this but..... The chassis will be a 94 Civic Hatch. And I think I made my tire choice and I am going with M&H racemaster street and strip radial. But is an LSD A must have necessity?

stock diff is the weak link in the tranny.
usually, when the spiders let go, shrapnel busts the case. seen it happen a lot of times.
so if u want to go tranny shopping, cheap out on the LSD.
if you want something that will take a lot of abuse, save up and get an LSD.
mfactory makes a really nice LSD. Quaife is good too.

if i didnt already have my quaife i would consider an Mfactory, ive heard great things and for the price you cant really beat it.
I only make 320 right now and I wish I had more grip. Might check out some MT's now.

Re: Mickey T Fender Modifications??????
I just got some 225/50r15 hoosier DOT drag radials and they are NASTY on the street (until it rains). Right now I should be in the neighborhood of 300-315whp and I can roll into 1st and keep traction, hard shift into second, and not break traction.
