MaxRev kit, do i have to remove fan?

just as post says...there is this integra LS getting maxrev kit installed and the installer says he will need to get thinner fans. anyone else having this problem??

Common with every kit I know of, either need slimline fans or you have to chop up your old ones pretty bad.

I had to remove the 2 oem fans and replace with 2 slim line fans (about 1" thick)
