MAX. HP. Level for a T3/T04E ???
Does anyone know the maximum horsepower output I could get from my T3/T04E turbo. I know there are a lot of variables, but I just wanted to find out what the hp limits were of this turbo. If i remember correctly it has an AR of .63/.50. (garett)
I am running a b18c1 (fully built block/valvetrain) spark racing equal tube length manifold, hks wastegate, victorX manifold, 720cc greddy inj., and AEM EMS. (if that helps at all?) I am trying to hit 500hp (at the crank) is this possible with my setup? or do I need to shop around for a new turbo? If so any suggestions would be greatly appreciated...(T04X, T-61, etc.??) Thanks!

it will be a little small for 500. From what i have heard those are good to about 400-450 whp or so. A T3/60-1 would do it
Just my $.02...I may be wrong, but thats what i have seem numerous times

I would honestly like to see if a Spark manifold could hold that much power.
Is this not a good manifold?? From what I can see, it looks like a piece of art?
Beautiful welds on the outside (robotic?) look so perfect. and the inside of the manifold is grinded down and polished, full stainless steel...maybe too pretty? hehe are these prone to cracking? I was thinking of fabricating a bracket to support the turbo and maifold off the block some where...
just let me know how long it takes cylinders 1 and 4 to crack and the wastegate to break off... with that hks wastegate i'll give u 1-2 weeks.
From what I have read from members it's prone to cracking and the wastegate breaks off. Be ready to come home without a wastegate
Sell the manifold. There are so many other manifolds out there that are good.

yeah t3/t04e 60 trim .82a/r. is good up to 500-550whp, at what boost level do you think you would see maximum hp on this turbo boosted hybrid ? around 22-26psi ?
so what kind of HP you think I could pump out at that psi level on my h22...I have 10:1 pistons w/ inline pro headgasket. AEM EMS, revhard log manifold. 3" exhaust, no cat, 2.5" flared to 3" downpipe...etc..
Going full tilt on the turbo at 24~25psi, you'll be making at least 500whp assuming your head is built and you got rid of the dual stage intake manifold of the h22.
That is going to be a major restriction, very similar to the gsr manifold. If you get a custom one made, since there isnt anything on the market, then you'll make ALOT more power. With your engine, that is going to be the bottle neck.
Probably not. Most of those sheet metal intake manifolds are a headache to install everything and make them fit like OEM. For the trouble that you have to go through, you might as well get a custom one. The GE manifolds run like 600.00 for a racer discount price.
someone claimed to me that they did fit with no modification. I know the Venom one is a PITA to get to fit. Where could I get a custom one ?
I would talk to ffgeoff, I know that he knows people that can make something for you. I remember a post a few months back at SEMA, and someone made a badass sheet metal one that looked pretty incredible.
I'd go with the skunk2 one then. I have always had good success with the b-series ones. If you want more flow, then hog out the ports of the manifold even more for better flow.
Size doesnt always mean everything in terms of flow capacity. Unless your redline is going to be 9,000rpm+ then a huge plenum isnt always the best. With a stock redline, the skunk2 would produce better results than the victorx on a b-series.
