Default max boost SLOOOOOW

I'm running
Greddy SOHC turbo kit on my sohc civic ex coupe (auto)
when i am at a stop and floor it, my boost gauge reads 5psi when i hit about 4500 rpm!!
vacuum as idle is about 20 psi. oil level good, everything seems fine so far.
anything i should check?

i reach full boost late in my rpm range.
i get full boost around past 4k rpm, while others reach full boost around 2800 rpm on the same kit

I willing to guess it's cause your running 5 psi....a few more lbs would make a huge difference.

either boost leaks or restrictive exhaust. should have at least 2.5 inch dp, highflow cat, and catback. 3 inch would help spool even more.
