MAX boost level for blockguarded b16a
I researched this topic but to my disbelief couldn't find any useful info:
I rebuilt my motor about 10K miles ago using all OEM parts except for Hasting rings and I installed a blockguard. I would like to know what is a reasonable max. boost level. I'm not looking to blow up this motor yet... but .45 bar just isn't cutting it til I get my other block built.
I have heard story of the stock ring lands blowing out at 10psi but I know of a guy who ran 18psi at the track for an entire season on a stock block. I'm not looking to run 18psi but is 10+ safe?
Personal experience not stories or thoughts would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance

I can understand how this may be a redundant topic but I would really appreciate some sort of feedback. I would hate to just consult the boost fairy and end up with a blown motor....
Easy...
T3/to4, 57trim 60a/r , 63a/r stage III wheel
System is more than capable of handling whatever boost is thrown at it on this block.

I'm currently running 550's but I'm running stock c/r (10.2:1) I just want to squeeze as much "reliable" power as i can without "much" chance or blowing her up.
So I'll crank it up til I hit 300whp and stop there. Thanks for the help guys, I'll post some sheets when I get them here shortly.

I have that exact turbo. I had it on my b16a running 13.5psi just fine.
Hondata tuned. I made 248whp @9psi.
