Default max boost on honda map sensor with afc hack???EDIT why does it miss when its cold with only 1 more

just curious what you guys are getting for max boost on the stock honda map sensor. we have a stock b16 in a ef hatch, with homemade manifold, td05 dsm turbo, dsm 450 injectors, and the afc hack. we used a wasteguate actuator of a turbo coupe to drop the boost to about 7-8 ish. but now that is cold outside, it seems to spike up to about 9 lbs which we didn't think was really a big deal except it starts hesitating real bad. around 6-7 grand. feels like an ignition miss so we went through everyhing, coil, module, wires etc. off other cars we had to no luck?? could the map sensor be causing this??

the car has been running consistent 13.2s on street tires and this weekend is the last test and tune so we were hoping to beat it, but if its cold out were afraid its going to start missing again?

Try closing the gap on your plugs. Run the AFC as rich as you can.

I think you can run up to 10 to 11 psi I was running about 10psi with no problem and then my deltagate started going to 12 to 13psi and my motor would start to do the same thing. I put my tail on and I'm only running it at 6psi and it doesn’t cut anymore I’m going to start turning the boost up tonight tell I get to the cut point and then back it down a little.

I’m running the hack on a fully built b18c1 I can’t wait to get a stand-alone.

we just looked at the plugs, and they were just over .035 so we moved them down to about .028 or so. we'll see what that does

~10.65 psi is the max you can get out of a stock map.

The obd-0 map sensors only read up to 9.x psi, slightly lower than the obd-1+.
So, you could definatly be going over the sensors limit.
If not, try closing the gap on the plugs like was suggested. You shouldnt have to gap any closer than .30, unless your cap/rotor/wires are worn.

It really depends on the rest of his setup...

not really,

it only reads that much. you can "TRICK" more out of it. but it will only read to ~10.65.
