Default Marosso oil pan

anyone else running this oil pan setup. I have been using it for a year now, and went through 3 motors. It took a year to diagnose that something in this setup wasnt allowing oil pressure to be built up like it should be. We went to a OEM GSR pan, and pick up tube, and walla oil pressure is there now with no oil light flicker.

so anyone else using this setup, and having any issues??????

yes the correct pick up tube was being used

we had been having the oil light flicker for a long time now, and i was told it was brittle wiring, but I recently had a rod bearing get really worn, and after doing the bearing it was still doing it so my tuner wasnt happy. they changed the pan/pickup tube and all is well now. They use the same setup on there drag car with everything down to the "T" .

No issues with my steel moroso, my oil pressure is more than adequate according to my gauge.

You starved three motors of oil before you went looking for a problem?

ok first of all i paid quite a bit of money for a setup, and felt it wasnt up to me to figure it out its the shops that got paid, and not everyone is a mechanic lol. I am learning though. Since im n ot a highly skilled mechanic, and I was investing 17k to a setup right off the batt I felt it was better for me to get a shop to do my setup that would last rather than me, and have it not last hope that makes sence

My 6qt. Morosso and pickup work fine except for some oil weeping. I'm putting on new seals after double checking and cleaning up the mating/gasket area. No oil pressure probs except hard right cornering when oil is down 1/2 qt or so. For drags - no cavitation or oil starvation at all.

well ok im sorry for this post it seems this wasnt the issue the car hit the rollers, and well same issue I was told it was the pan and the OEM solved it.

my Morroso was never an issue at all, it had a leak from the drain plug that i added another washer wich solved it.

So your saying a leaky drain bolt caused you to have low oil pressure?

no, he said that was the only problem he had with the marosso and he managed to fix the problem anyway. Now he is back to square one because he is having the same problem with an OEM pan.

correct it has been narrowed down to oil squirters we are thinking one is loose causing the loss of pressure

well im glad that you posted that it wasn't the fault of the pan as nobody has every had an oil pressure problem just because of the pan. usually lack of oil, blockages, etc.
