Default Which MAP wire?

Installed the Greddy turbo kit on my 94 DX. The instructions aren't very clear as to which MAP sensor wire to cut so I cut the Signal input. Problem is that I have a CEL which appears to be triggered when I hit positive manifold pressure (not sure though, going to pull the error code shortly). Can someone confirm which MAP wire to cut?

I confirmed that the White wire has been cut and the green and white wires from the harness have been spliced per the instructions yet I still have a CEL with code 3. Any ideas?

If i were you i would ditch that blue box that comes with greddy kits, i had nothing but problems when using that thing. Everyone i have talked to has had problems with them as well. Rip that thing out and get a boost dependent fuel pressure regulator, look for one made by Bell Engineering or Car-Tech, they work the best in my opinion. As soon as i changed that my car ran beautifully. And make sure you get a Missing Link or check valves to bypass the map sensor.

So your telling him to ditch the blue box for a fmu style setup........BAHAHAHAHAH....

Anyway, it should be the middle wire that is the signal wire..

I am suggesting he remove the blue box, because in my experiences and everyone i know who has used it have had nothing but problems. My car had horrible throttle response and never ran right, at first i though it was hooked up wrong, but it was right...the box just sucked. As soon as I switched to the boost dependent fuel pressure regulator, I had no problems at all and my car ran great. The same is true for several other people I know.

Thanks for the feedback guys. I pulled out the wiring diagram and will confirm the wiring today.

As for the blue box, I've heard folks say it works great and others that say it's horrible. I think part of the problem is the super rich tuning at 5psi, though I hear it works much better as boost is increased. Also, I have heard of a few guys lowering their fuel pressure 1-2 psi with good results at 5psi.

Once again, thanks for the feedback

I would just suggest something/anything other than the fmu setups..

According to the pin out in Greddy's iunstructions, it should be the white wire (D17)

The middle whire on the map sensor is GRN-BLU OR GRN-WHT and goes to pin D21 on the ECU.

Does this sound right? Want to confirm before cutting more wires.

I crossed referenced the wiring for the Del Sol S and it looks like the middle wire on the MAP is GRN-BLU and goes to D17 so I will try this. I figure this should be the same as my car since the DX and del sol share the same engine. I suspect the wiring example I have for the civic is for an EX model. Wish me luck!

D21 is the map ground.. Your looking for wire D19.. Trace the wires from the map plug to the ecu and find which one is D19..

Thanks. What are D17 and D19 then?

D17 is map signal, D19 is map 5V, and D21 is map ground..

I'm officially Fugged. When I hook the blue box to either of the other wires from the MAP sensor, I get a CEL immediately. HELP!
