Hello-

I am adding a 2.5 bar motorola MAP sensor, and had a question about the wire colors. It is an OBD1 GSR harness I believe.

I was reading that the MAP had the following colors

White (Vout)
Grn/wht (ground)
Yel/red (+5v)

However, my MAP has these colors:

grn/wht
white
yel/wht

Is my yel/wht equivalent to the yel/red +5v?

well green / white is ground, put the black test lead on ground, turn the key on, see what wire has the 5v reference. then the other that has no reading, should be the signal wire.

the motor isnt in the car so I can't test it like that Nor is the car going to be running for at least a month or so.

What harnesses are the yel/red found on?

 

I'm not sure. But you will know if you did it right because if you screwed something up your car will run like **** and also you will be able to pull the code from the ECU. If it's code 5 thats MAP sensor.

civic eg harness have the yel/red
