MAP Sensor
Finally getting my car running right, but everytime I make a pass down the street and come back the car stumples and throws the map sensor code. I unplug the ecu and plug it back in and its gone. I am seeing 10psi in every gear, and I am running a missing link. Any ideas? Also what do I need to run a 2 or 3 bar map sensor?

Re: MAP Sensor (Turbo EG6)
We are running with RC 440's and a VAFC. When we dump extra fuel into it....it throws the MAP sensor code......Someone has to have had this problem.....What can a stock honda map take with the missing link?

Re: MAP Sensor (Ray)
thats my guess too...something is wrong with the missing link. If you have a apex SAFC you can see what the MAP sensor is reading...i bet its seeing boost..

Re: MAP Sensor (Ray)
Apparently someone doesn't understand how the VAFC works. The way it adds fuel is by increasing the voltage the ECU sees from the map sensor. The Missing Link only ensures that the voltage coming from the map sensor is no greater than the signal for atmospheric pressure. So if you modify that with the VAFC, if you increase it more than a few percent, then at WOT or under boost the ECU will see greater than atmospheric pressure signal from the MAP sensor and throw a code. This is why if you're tuning with a VAFC you really need to design your fuel system to be rich in all conditions and then use the VAFC to lean it out from there. Kick up your fuel pressure a bit and lean out the VAFC.
Incidentally, as bad as the VAFC manual is, it does explain this whole issue.
And might I add that with a Rev-hard kit at stock boost and 440s there's no reason in the world you should have to add fuel with the VAFC.

Re: MAP Sensor (Turbo EG6)
missing link can not be working correctly. one way aquarium valves can be used
to bleed off boost to map sensor. cheap and works great. use one for every 5
pounds of boost
