Never used one, but why would they be bs? I mean its a pretty simple concept and should work fine.

Never used one.. but i would imagine that they would work for low boost applications, after all there is nothing to correct for overboost/spikes etc... but they do remove the temptation of upping the boost at a stoplight when that mustang SVT rolls up on you...

You can mount them inside the car, but the majority of the ones I have seen are in the engine bay. I think I heard once that it was because of the lenght of both vacume lines running out to the wastegate... ?? if that makes any sense...

I prolly shoul dhave gotten a manual and put it in the engine bay.. remove temptation from myself.. LOL

Are MBCs worth it? Hell yes they are. Cheap and foolproof. Build one using the C-Speed site, easy as pie.

Yes they are worth it, simple and easy as well....however if you want to keep your piece of mind I would not recommend making one as shown on c-speed..you can get good mbc for around $75. Also I would recommend mounting inside the engine bay.

check out the joep mbc. proven over the years with all the turbo guys. especially the dsm crowd.

it's only $50 shipped at turbologic.com. nothing fancy but it works like a charm.

yah... the method on cspeed looks cool.. but if you do it wrong... BLAM! blown engine from overboost. haha

the thing is... those manual boost controllers seem like the same thing as the wastegate. either way... you gotta turn the screw to adjust it. i dont see the convenience of one.

i like the whole "push button boost" idea.
