Default Manifold Importance

I am going to start putting my turbo setup together over the winter and spring for my B18B1 and I am wondering how much of a difference the manifold will make. I really would like to get an equal length one from onefab, full-race or one of the other companies but there really expensive so im looking at maybe a cast manifold? My goals are up to 350whp but im most likely not gonna shoot that high, more like 270-290whp.

The rest of the setup will consist of a T3/T4 57 Trim .63A/r turbo, 38mm tial WG and BOV, medium precision intercooler, hondata or uberdata, 440cc injectors and the rest of the little things.

So do you think i should spend more money on an EL manifold or will a cast manifold from say blox or something be fine?

A cast or "log-style" manifold will do fine for you.
Also, just something to consider, Love-fab makes the mini-me manifold which I think is alittle cheaper and works very well.

yeah, really i was considering an EL mani because it woudl boost my low- mid-range power band from what I have read and it wouldnt take as much boost to reach my goal. The goal for the setup would be around 220-240 tq at the wheels which from what ive seen is quite possible with a B18B1.

I was looking at the mini-me but i havent read alot of info on it as ive been out of the loop for awhile.

got any links to threads with reviews?

an cast one is fine as long as it is good quality like inlinepro, etc.

equal length is nice to have, but for your goals it is not actually neccesary

it really is a matter of what you want to spend

check this add in the sponsers section. Quality is top notch. And for the price of a Inline you can get so much better.

yeah i emailed them and they gave me a nice quote although i believe it is close to what i was offered by 1fab awhile ago for a DP, mani and dumptube.

I think i will go with one of those mani's from crfab or a like company instead of a cast one, maybe ill make 30 more hp because of the mani at the same psi? lol

What do you think of the rest of the setup im planning?

K so here is a breakdown so far of the parts. IF you know anywhere to get some of the parts for a little cheaper let me know

Manifold, DP and dumptube $900
T3/To4e 57 Trim .63 AR Turbo $550
Tial 28mm WG $220
Tial BOV $220?
Hondata S200b not sure yet but i think its around $650?
440cc RC or precision injectors $275
Oil line kit $110
JRC 8" intercooler $200?

What am i missing other than exhaust and IC/charge piping and maybe a walboro in-tank fuel pump?
