Default Make Nitrous Safer to Use???

Any ways to make nitrous safer to run? I am talking about a 40-60 shot from a NOS kit. Are there any accessories that would be good to have?

Hey!
If you are running a dry set up, a bigger fuel pump or larger injectors would be the best way. I think the best way would be to run the smallest wet shot you can.
I just read that there is a new fuel rail mounted NOS kit. It goes between the injector and fuel rail..... That would give really good atomization....
Colder plugs might be another idea. A fifty shot on my all motor setup added 30hp at the wheels, but I didn't have anything else- could've been a very bad mistake; fortunately as lean as I was running nothing happened.
Be safe get a a/f guage and spend the money to get fuel adding items if you get a dry kit.

stay away from dry kits all together... they suck. for a moderate 40-60 shot, all you need is colder plugs and run 92+ octane. if you drive a 5sp., a window switch is a great investment. if you have an auto, then don't worry about one. a purge kit and bottle heater are great accessories to have but once again, they are not neccessary.

isnt there also some sort of MSD ignition thing that you can wire up to shut off your nitrous system at a certain RPM so you don't redline while spraying??

...I liked the MSD window switch... used 5800rpm and 8100rpm pills with a Zex kit... ran good...

Ok, wait a sec, dry kits bad? Why does NOS use the dry system for most applications? Or is the NOS kit for the prelude a wet kit? Can we clear this up, cause why would a wet kit be better? Also, is that device that cuts off the nitrous at a certain RPM expensive? That would be a very good investment I think.

i thought toretto would know more about NOS considering he has a NOS powered rx7 btw...wet kits are in general safer becuz they add not only the n2o but at the same time the extra fuel needed to burn w/it unlike getting the extra fuel from your stock injectors for the extra fuel in dry kits...hope this clears things up a lil for u

msd window switch will run you about $150 or so. maybe even a bit cheaper than that. what year is your lude? NOS has been developing a plate kit for some ludes. if this particular kit is out, i'd run that.

the only reason dry kits suck is fuel issues, if you dont run that big of a shot then you wont have a prob. but i would go wet or dp if i were you . you will get hungry for more juice, trust me.

Heck yea, F&F is my favorite recently released movie, despite its inaccuracies. I know the fogger system is the best way for more power, wast sure about how hard it is to install though, or how safe it is. My Lude is a 97 with 47k miles, excellent condition. Would the fogger kit be the best to go with? I dont know if its true, but I have heard that the fogger system at 75 shots is actually safer than a dry kit at 50-60 shots. As for knowing alot about NOS, I just want to have the fact straight, better to ask then to mess up later. I will definately go with a window switch, cut it out right about 6k rpm, last thing I need to do is hit the fuel cut off switch. So basically, dry kits are not as safe as wet, so how about that NOS fogger system, would that work? Installation?

of course it would work but it requires to drill individual holes in each manifold runner for the fogger nozzles to spray in each. direct port babee

Ok, so I am assuming that you cant take the fogger system off then. So other than that, would you reccomend the fogger kit? Or should I stick to the basic kits? Also, is it true that dp is safer to run 75 shots vs 75 shots on a fry kit? Which way should I go, not sure now.

Woops, just went to the NOS website, and found the plate kit that was mentioned, adjustable from 75-200hp, so the lowest setting for me. Would this be the best setup for teh Lude? Sorry to keep jumping around on kits, but they made this plate kit mainly for the prelude and one other acura, so I would hope it would be the best choice.

That kit goes between the injectors and the intake manifold and costs over $1500. It's a nice kit and will be a bitch to look for if someone pops their hood at the races, but that's too much $$$ for nitrous. And the Zex kit is a dry kit.
