Default lsvtec kit with -4an lines

im getting ready to build my lsvtec kit. I was looking at evans-tuning.com web site. he recommends not to use the -6an line that comes with the golden eagle kit. Does anyone know what fitting will i need to change the -6an to -4an line.

i believe jeff evans said that sometime it will drop the oil pressure too much and vtec wont work

I wouldn't worry it. It's very rare. If oil pressure drop during vtec engagement then just change it to -4 line. The line is very easy to change anyway.

Where is the reasoning in this.. Once the line is filled with oil how would the pressure drop.. I mean, you could use an10 line for an lsvtec and it should still work great.. The pressure isnt going to expand the hose that much to cause a pressure drop..

The only way it wouldnt be enough pressure is if you were flowing more oil out of the hose than whats comming into it and if thats the case, going from an6 to an4 would make the problem worse..

I actually had to change from a -4an to a -6an b/c I was not getting enough oil volume to spool the vtec solenoid. I would try the -6an first ... it should work.
