Default LSVTEC?? can you use B18's

ok my mechanics and i have a few parts lieing around and were contemplating what we can do with it...

these are the parts we have

GSR b18c1 block
jdm gsr pistons and rods
GSR b18c1 head

the gsr crank is destroyed so we were thinking....

in a basic LSVTEC its just a b18 block with a LS crank but with typeR or equivilant rods and pistons, i may be wrong but im trying to remember.

so what we are thinking is use the b18c1(gsr) block and head with the jdm rods and pistons, but find an LS crank and toss it in and make an LSVTEC, but minus the oil lines and tapping...

can someone tell me weither or not this works with these parts.

ok UPDATE, as per the tech forum the use of LS rods with the B18 pistons is the way it is, but next is trying to figure out if the LS crank will fit in the GSR block

and what year LS, the B17 or B18a crank
