LSD
its not tooo hard.. You have to have the bearing off of your stock diff. taken off and pressed onto the new diff.... I recomend having a machine shop do that... Other than that if you've ever taken a trans. apart is should be a breeze.
never took a trany out, but i never did a turbo before i did mine. i'll be attempting a clutch job at the same time, are there any parts other than the throwout bearing and flywheel bearing that i should replace?

if your unfamiliar i really suggest picking up a helms service manual.
Thanks
Here's a write-up of the install on a prelude. http://www.hondaprelude.com/resources/article.asp?id=52
When I opened up the tranny case, the snap oring which keeps the top portion of the housing attached to the mainshaft/countershaft (I forgot which one) was a bitch to get off and I didn't even bother trying to put it back on. Also I had to play with the gearing to put the housing back together. I think it only came together in 3rd. Not sure though...it's been a while. Oh yeah, use ultra grey for your sealant. Can't think of anything else. HTH

I also see that you have an LS. You have an LS tranny as well?
What kind of LSD is it? Cuz if it's any other than something made for an LS tranny, it's gonna be more of a bitch to install.
I recently helped install a ITR helical LSD into my LS tranny. It's not plug and play at all. I needed an entire 4.400 final drive ring gear as well as the countershaft from a 4.400 vehicle to put all my gears on.
In the end, this means that now your LS will have a 4.400 final drive. Which is good to an extent, and I haven't experienced any negatives from using it so far. I guess I'll have to wait until I get to a 1/4 track to see if it helped any.
I seriously wouldn't suggest it if you haven't had some experience in this area. If you want to try it with your manual, best of luck to you, but if you mess up, it's gonna be some down time for you.
Good luck.
