Default LS/VTEC turbo idle surging

Looking for some ideas on what my prob could be. I just added the turbo to my ls/vtec turbo. I've put 6,000 miles on it N/A with no problems. I added the turbo last week and tuned using chrome. Now my car is surging. It idles normal when cold @1,000 to 1,200 rpms and then goes back down to @ 800 rpms when warm. It surges periodicly, some times at temps between cold and warm and then at warm idle. It never surges when completely cold. When it decides to surge it goes up and down between 600 and 900 rpms but clears sometimes when I turn on the lights. I have no cel's and the tps is adjusted correctly, it was re-adjusted during the tunning process and I know it's set right thanks to the data logging and a very reputable tuner (thanks J. Davis). I cleaned the IVAC screen. I've seen some that say FIVC but all sypmtoms I've reseached in the archives idle at much higher rpms when it's the FIVC and are not sparatic. I've sprayed a whole can of carb cleaner through the engine bay and found nothing. It doesn't sound like an air leak, at idle I should hear a loud hissing if there was one. The engine is not lacking any power top end and doesnt the engine doesn't try to stall when it's surging.

all day we were tunning and through the weekend it had no probs but through the week we are having less than 60 deg days and frost during the night it started acting up. It was @ 75 deg when we tuned.

I had my purge and mas sensor clips crossed and gave me the similar symptoms you may want to check that. They have the same clip on the harness and located in the same area.

This could have been a prob. but I built the engine last spring and installed it in June. She's been running for over 6,000 miles for break in since then and no probs until I installed the turbo kit and new ecu. I didn't have to undo any wiring to intall the turbo.

update on the pita ls/vtec turbo. I removed my upper charge pipe to see if there was any pressure at the FITC when warm there there was some suction. I had a co-worker watch my ex. pipe while I played with it and when I plugged the hole with my finger there was no change in surge but it's searching very irradicly. I unpluged the IVAC set rpms to 500 and then re connected and unplugged the ecu. The idle surge is now between 6 and 800 rpms warm but it is sparatic and noticable. My co worker said that when the engine started surging there was some thin white (i'm thinking coolant) smoke coming out of the pipe so I'm leaning toward the FITV. I'll swap it with the one from my d16z6 this weekend and update

Last night I unplugged the IVAC and set the idle adj screw to then plugged the IVAC back in. Then removed the ECU fuse to reset the CEL. My car now Idles at 650 rpms warm and 900 cold. When it's at normal running temp and there is no elec. things on (stereo/lights) it will surge barely enough to move the tach no more than 50 rpms before it drops back down but it's enough to sound rough, when there is a load on the engine it idles perfectly. I'm thinking that the adjustment is still off just a bit
