Since my Search isnt working I was wondering if you can help me out...Im finishing up my motor build ready to drop the head on...I got a used golden eagle lsv kit off my friend and I didnt get the tap..I read Im supose to use an 1/8th npt tap..My head porter gave me an 1/8-27npt tap, and said the 27 stands for the thread count..Can you guys confirm this before I tap my head thanks

 

all i know is i went to napa and asked for a 1/8th npt tap and went at it and worked fine.

 

yeah. the tap i bought just says 1/8 npt and nothing else. i did buy it individually... not that it matters.

 

1/8 npt is 1/8 x 27 you are good.
