will je pistons and eagle rods from a gsr block fit in a ls block?

im assuming that the pistons will fit as long as the bore is the same but i dont think the rods will fit with the crank.

correct me if im wrong.

im wondering b/c if my block ever blows itll be cheaper to find a $200 ls block and bulletproof that instead. that way ill have a back up block too.
