Default ls/vtec question..

ok this is my setup..

stock block b18a1
built b16 head with rocket valvetrain
ctr cams
arp head studs
cometic .030 head gasket
str air maxx intake manifold
sls top mount ex. mani
garrett t3/ t61 .82 ar
3 in exhauust
presicion 1000s


any way the question is what sould i revv to.. having the ctr cams and the built head?? i no the bottem end is completly stock.. i was thinkin 8500 ish.. but i wanted other opinions..

i think you should get some arp rod bolts and i woundn't rev it past 7,500 just to be safe

Your head may be built for high revs, but before even addressing that, I would consider building your bottom end before high revs, or at least replace the stock rod bolts with ARP's. The stock B18a rod bolts are not meant for high RPM.
