Default ls turbo?'s

I hate to put you guys through it, but i got to ask some of my noob questions. I want to boost my 94 teg. It has 100,000k on it. I'm not lookin for crazy hp. My basic goal is to at least break 200whp. It's my daily driver, so i want it to be pretty reliable. I say my budget will be around $2k give or take. I have been looking at the ls turbo thread, and i have come to the conclusion that i have no idea what turbo to get. I'm just looking to be pointed in the general direction of what i need for a basic turbo set up. Part names and places to research where to get them. What turbo, injectors, exhaust manifold that i should be considering to purchase for the set up i plan on using. I read that the chrome pro is a good cheap system to use. I'm not quite sure what it does, but i think it allows the ecu to run your vehicle with forced induction, correct? Basically it gives you the power to tune your car to run well with forced induction. I also would like to know what to do when smog time comes around. I live in Cali. After you take everything off and put back the stock parts, would there need to be any type of tuning to have it run as na engine?

I don't mind searching, so if there are threads that cover my exact ?'s please post them for me.

The LS thread was definitely a good start. Keep sifting through those pages and you'll find everything you need. Also go here: https://honda-tech.com/zerothread/1024174 . I found everything i needed in the FAQs to install my kit. I was patient and bought everything used (aside from the Walbro) and spent almost $2400 for everything including tuning. Again, be patient and you'll find what you need eventually for a good price. I bought everything in the classifieds "forced induction". Setup is below for reference on what you can get. As for smog, I'm in Ohio. Dont know.

Fabworks Log manifold, 3" downpipe
Garrett T3/T4 57 trim .48a/r
JRC 6" Intercooler w/ Spoolin 2.5" pipes
Greddy Type S BOV
Tial 38mm
Full 3" Kteller exhaust w/ magnaflow muffler
Walbro 255lph pump
DSM 450cc injectors
Hondata S200b
Tuning at 8psi 253whp/222wtq
13.5@106 on Kuhmo SPT's
