Default LS TURBO

Alright, Looking to boost my 97 ls. Got a buddy selling me a greddy turbo kit. Complete. Not really looking for big power, use a little. Really i think i just want to do it to play around nothing to serious. Maybe looking to boost about 5-7 psi not much. I am going to keep stock internals. The big question that i have is, if boosting 5 psi as a daily driver, is it safe? it will it eventually blow?? Let me know Thanks

it could last 5 years, it could last 5 minutes.

you have to get the air fuel ratio and ignition timing programmed properly. too lean or too much timing can and will melt stuff quickly, namely the ringlands on the pistons.

the tune is key for sure but I would do a compression/leak down test to make sure everything is up to par first.
