Ls-T questions
I have a stock 96 integra and want to turbo the ls engine.I think the money i save on buying a gsr and then turbo i will just turbo the ls.I am looking for 375hp to the wheels.Yes, i have read the ls and lsvtec turbo thread but wanted to know has anyone made those power on a stock block(aftermarket piston and rods but stock sleeves) and with proper tuning and maintence how long did it last?
375 on a completely stock bottom end isnt going to last very long if you beat it up. If you make that power and turn it down a few psi to around 300 then it will last. The ringlands on the ls pistons just plain suck and dont like alot of power. It is all in the tune but all in all then will crack, its just a matter of time at that power level.
You can slug and stick it for less than 1000 bucks and it will be reliable to 400range on pump gas with the right turbo setup

I was runnin lst for about a year and a half before goin lsvt. 82mm bore, eagle h-beam, wiseco 8.6:1 pistons. The block lasted 2 turbos nd a head swap. It was pushin 300ish on 9psi. Its now in a friends car with a different head nd shes still goin strong. Jus get her tuned properly and dont go cheap on parts
