ok who want to help me out with a problem. my sl anit runnin rite. i have a uberdata system and i was running oppen down pipe (cus it was fun) for a while. and the O2 check wasn't going off so i thought they turned it off for me. not is desides it wants to come on so the car runs all funny. it's all boggy till it hits boost and around 3500rpms. i'm running a T25 with 450cc on a B18b1. whats might you think is the prob?
Alot of people assume that the check engine light should not come on when the car is put into open loop (Closed loop disabled). This is false. If your o2 sensor goes bad or loses voltage the ECU will sense it and throw the code even if the o2 sensor is not being utilized (closed loop disabled) w/ Uberdata.
If the code is infact the o2 sensor and replacing it makes the car run much better, then your tuner does not have closed loop disabled. You should go over this w/ him. Good luck.

yea i had an issue similar to that, when i got off the gas even though closed loop was disabled i would get a code for the primary O2 sensor, i would just pull the fuse and keep going.

Swap out the o2 sensor.
Swap out the o2 sensor.
