Default was this ls longblock worth it???

PS:sorry for the multiple forum posts. Just wanted to get as many opinions as possible

Ok. I just bought this last nite. I didnt see it in the day. I paid 250 for it. It is a 90 LS longblock minus-Dizzy and alternator. The only thing that was said to be wrong with it was that the head had burnt valves. I really only wanted a working block anyways. But what has me concerned is that there is some rust in some places and the vavlve cover isnt bolted down and in general i just am not sure of the condition. The had is gonna be taken off today and ill post more pics when that is done. I am just looking for a general review of what I bought. Was it worth it??? I can take more pics if you need to see something else or whatever. Thanks

Eventual plans are: Rods(already bought) Pistons,bored a little,b16 head,turbo and a uberdata setup

pull the head off will take like 5 minutes out of the car like that could have been left out if you building the block with all new parts don't worry about it unless the cylinders are rusted or something

if your gonna tear it apart and rebuild it then it shouldnt really matter. just dont cut any corners on the rebuild

250 was a little much for that. i paid 250 for a complete swap at a u pull. i sold the tranny for 250, and the clutch flywheel for 50 bucks. oh well... good luck on the rebuild
