Ls Head components swap to Vtec head components?
my timing belt went a little while ago and i got the assesment back for how much it would run to fix... roughly 1200.
Here was all what was done to my head::
o Was sent out to KG engineering full port and polish with a polishing of the combustion chamber.
- Ferrea valves 1mm oversized
- Bronze valve guides
- Dual WEB valve springs
- WEB ti retainers
- Web cams 242 intake, 248 exhaust
- Extrude honed stock LS manifold. Then port matched to the head, sent the manifold down as the head was being ported and had him match the penalums to the intake ports.
ive gotten opinions that i should swap on a vtec head and see if i can swap any of the components over, and take the loss on the P&P job and the work in the intake manifold. My question is would this be worthwhile or stick with my oringial head and get it fixed. Would the compents swap over to the vtec head?

Honestly.. I'd pick up a nice gsr or b16a head and take it down to a machine shop and throw a valve grind on it.

Oh sorry, I didnt read the entire post, lol.. Your asking if you can swap those componets over from a LS head onto a Vtec head? that would be negitive, the only thing you maybe able to swap over are the bronze valve guides, but that would be pointless. valves/springs/cams will not fit
