lowering compression using headgasket?

Default lowering compression using headgasket?

can compression be lowered by using a specific headgasket? if so, what thickness?

yes it can be lowered inline pro in va makes a headgasket that will lower your compression

Yes it can, cometic also makes a thicker hg. I beleive for every .040" thicker is ~1cr lower. At least this is what the people @ cometic say. So a stock hg is .030" and another .040" would make .070" which would lower the cr by ~1.

I ran the inline pro 3mm HG for 2 years on the stock bottom end. I never had one issue with it.

because you are moving the deck height 3mm so the gears have to dial out the difference

the gasket is so thick that it raises the height of the head enough to throw off the cam timing. adj. gears are needed to get everything back to where it is supposed to be at TDC.

lol we answered at the same time. btw i have this gasket as well and my car will see 10psi daily.

coolness...im running an apex power fc, i think i can adjust timing from my EMS but thats ignition timing. is this totally different from cam timing?

yes. cam timing refers to when the cams open the valves. ignition timing is when the spark plugs fire to ignite the air and fuel mixture.
