looking to drop the 9.5? CR down to 8.5

Re: (redciv)
There is no said number for what compression ratio is ideal for boosting our motors, its all about preference.. if you wanted you could have 10.5 rather than 8.5:1 CR, its all about tuning..

Re: (IntegracinGSR)
If it is a street car and you are going to be running on pump gas, you probably want the lower CR, say anywhere from 9.5:1 to 9:1 or you could even go with your 8.5:1 if ya really want to... but if you're going to be using higher octane race fuel and the car will be for the track then go ahead and go with a higher compression ratio and just make sure you get a good tune.. its all up to you and your goals and preferences..

Re: (IntegracinGSR)
i dont even know if you can get a headgasket which will lower the compression as much as u want... u might be able to lower it to like 9.2:1 which is equal to that of a b18b maybe as low as 9.0:1..im not 100% sure on this.. but i as well think that 9.5:1 CR is fine for boost. 8.5:1 may not be as ideal as you think.. is it safe? yes.. but everything out of boost will feel like ****.
