Default lower compression stock ecu/injectors?

hey guys-

i come to the FI forum cause you all seem the smartest...yes, i searched-

here's the situation:

I'm rebuilding my b20a (prelude) for boost.

Wiseco 8.5:1 (from 9.1) .020 over pistons
crower rods
stock head (rebuilt)
t3 .42/.48
tial 35mm wg
crome
walbro 255
dsm injectors
6psi

my question: i'm planning on breaking in my motor n/a for a few hundred miles prior to re-installing the turbo. I'm planning on running the stock injectors and ecu for this process. Will the lower compression cause a problem? I've read that i'll have to advance the timing to compensate for the lower compression but other than that i really don't know what the effect will be (other then slightly less power).

What are your experiences with this situation?

should i just break it in with the turbo on and use my tune from before? (i don't think this is a 'perfect' tune) OR should i install the stock in jectors and ecu and hope that the lower compression pistons won't make that big of a difference?

TIA

Rick

Your fine with the stock ecu. Compression alone wont drastically change power output.

thats what i was thinking....

If anything i should run a little RICH right?

If so, should i be concerned about washing out the cylinders? whats the general rule of thumb for an a/f where you need to be concerned about washing out the cyls?

thanks for your fast responses!

it wont be rich, if anything it will be a little lean bc of the slightly larger discplacement. but not significant, the stock o2 sensor should be able to compensate for the difference.

ring wash occurs at uber rich levels <10:1 AFR
