Low compression CAST pistons? opinions?
there are Nippon pistons for sale on ebay, they are low compression, cast, and best of all, cheap. they usually go for $125 a set as i remember.

If i'm setting up a d16z6 for boost, would this be worthwhile or should i just keep the stock pistons (or even buy new oem ones)? i'm planning on a bit of headwork, cam upgrade, block gaurd, and a t3 turbo with a afc hack and some timing control. do you think i would be surpassing the 'claimed' 300hp limit of these pistons? or would i even be fine with some fresh stockers? i'm also undecided on what to do about the rods, they may stay stock if there are no cheap solutions.
basically i'm too cheap and broke to get real forged stuff.

i've heard about the suzuki thing before, but is it worthwhile to do low CR pistons so you can raise boost, only to break the rods with the extra power? or will the rods hold enough?
