*edit*
No, my products are not crack proof. Ive made a little over 250 manifolds, and this is the 4th manifold to have cracked. A 1.6% failure rate isnt that bad.
I know more WILL come, its a fact of life, thats why the warranty only applies to ORIGINAL buyers, its sort of figured into the price that the manifold may or may not be shipped to and from once.</TD></TR></TABLE>

Cody, do you recommend putting a brace on the turbo?

thanks go out to all the people who are taking this thread for what it is: a guy who's kinda pissed off cause he happens to be part of the unfortunate 1.6%, but really just wants some advice.

here's what i'm thinking so far: i'll have it welded up by a professional, and somehow brace the whole turbo better (still open to suggestions on that).

also, my downpipe wasn't bracketed to the back of the block before the incident (it is now), so that wouldn't have helped either. still, why would it crack right in the middle of the log, and how can i make it better?

Are you not going to send it back to Love Fab?

Totally...lets see some pictures of the damage.

I dont have a problem with this post, except that I think you should have gone to the guy first before posting this.

For the record, for anyone who is perusing this post and skipping the details:
NO product is perfect, and the seller is standing behind his product and fixing it under warranty

Hopefully we can continue this post and find out what went wrong with this particular manifold and learn something.

exactly, this way cody can figure out also, this will only help him and his products better..

difference with this and a inline pro manifold cracking thread, is that inline pro and those others are national companies, while cody does it himself by hand..

when you blast a guy who is 80% only on one board, its very touchy cause you can kill and create hype on stuff easy..

HT = bandwagon/witchhunt

People just need to chill Cody's work is great and freins has one of his manifolds and it is nice and works great!!!!! Just because one cranks dont mean that people have to start talking trash and ssaying that it is junk lovfabs are greatly made and take lots of time to make no one should say they are junk if so u tryign to put hours into a manifold not that easy!!!!!!

yup yup . . Cody will fix it lets just leave it at that . . . this thread is kinda getting out of hand when it just started off as a simple question.

People are all blowing things out of proportion.

yeah but the whole point of responding to a post is not to start **** . . . if you don't have anything to say that will benifit the post why post? Then all of this **** happens and people start getting missled and what not . . . not to be an ******* to the creator of the post, but I think they need to lock this post before people get anymore out of hand . . . it was a simple question that to many people took the wrong way, and things arn't getting any better so might as well just lock it up.

Cody's gona fix it, and that is the bottom line I guess

Everyone knows that there is a warranty on the manifolds. I just dont like it when poeple make BS posts about things when they know (or could figure out) that it will be taken care of. nothing more, nothing less.

we need pictures if this claim is true. I"m not saying that owner of this post is making **** up, just show us some pics of the crack if there is one and I think you should let Cody fix it and not trying to fix it yourself or somebody else except Cody.

amen to that . . . you know if you tamper with it I believe that VOIDS the Life Time Warranty

Just like when you get a new car and mod it you VOID the Warranty

Just let Cody fix it and if you got a digi cam take some pics

first of all, cody is not going to fix it. i am not the originaly owner of the manifold (though it was unused when i got it) and there was no warranty anyways on the mild steel shortys (something i was unaware of, or else i wouldn't have bought it). i don't blame him or his skills, and i fully understand the lack of warranty. i just wish i had know that mild steel was weaker before i bought it.

anyways i'm going to have it professionally welded up and possibly braced across the top to add strength. here are a few pics i took tonight...

you can see the crack in this pic, on the weld on the right side of the cyl#3 TEE. under the orange dipstick handle.
