Lovefab CRACKED!
while i was checking my oil today, i was astounded to find a crack in my Lovefab Shorty manifold, right in the middle where the 2 Ts are welded together. I thought Cody's work was supposed to be the best!? i don't see what would have caused this to happen, especially in that spot where there shouldn't be any stress.
i don't have a pic yet, but i'll get one up soon.
i really can't afford much down-time, so i'm not sure what to do (have it welded back up? get a new one?). what do you guys think?

WHOA WHOA WHOA!! sorry, guys i didn't mean for this to be a "i hate this crap it sucks" thread. i will be contacting cody about it as well.
but i need advice as to how to fix the problem in the mean time, and i kind of wanted to know if it has happened to anyone else.
i really don't intend to spread bad PR for Lovefab at all. i just wanted some help. (also, i knew the title would get a lot of hits, which is useful when seeking help) sorry again.

i may just get it re-welded (i only have a little 110v mig, so i'm useless), but how can i make sure it doesn't happen again? how do most people brace their turbos?

If it was one of the older mild steel shorties(I think it is, he emailed me), OR if it was purchased 2nd hand, the warranty does not apply. I will still fix it, but shipping is not included! You must pay your way for shipping at the least, BOTH ways if its across the border.
*edit*
No, my products are not crack proof. Ive made a little over 250 manifolds, and this is the 4th manifold to have cracked. A 1.6% failure rate isnt that bad.
I know more WILL come, its a fact of life, thats why the warranty only applies to ORIGINAL buyers, its sort of figured into the price that the manifold may or may not be shipped to and from once.

What a bunch of drama queens.
1.6% failure rate with free repair... you just cover shipping if you're not the original owner... sounds better than GE sleeves, yet you all want a set of those.
