Default Loud fuel pump?

I filled up my tank today and now my 255 Walbro is noticeably louder. Is this normal.

I guess that's a good thing. I'll always know if it's working or not. The noise was very electrical. I was just worried something came loose, possibly exposing the gas to an ignition soure. We'll i'm not dead yet...

yah weird... mine seemed to have gotten louder too... and i kinda freaked. thought it was a leak. but there's nothing dripping or smell of gas... and i'm too lazy to rip out the back seat to check... oh well

yeah it's going to be loud, especially if you have your rear interior stripped out.

it's funny with the turn signal on..

I just ordered one for my Del Sol. Since I've only seen my car for one day I don't even know where the fuel pump is located in my car. Hopefully in the trunk so it wont be as loud.

You all don't know loud. Obnoxious is probably a better word when you hear an externally mounted aeromotive fuel pump in action

It's right underneath the rear storage compartments... so you will hear it....
I have a Holley Forced Induction 255 fuel pump and it gives off a nice humm...

I don't know if anyone else has noticed , but don't run too low on gas or then the sound gets real ugly and scary..... I freaked out the first I heard it when it was real low on gas..... I was with a friend and he new what it was.. after I filled up , back to the nice humm again....

Take care.

Yeah mine huuummmmms. at low idle. I just came back from my trip from Dallas to Sacramento, and it was kinda annoying hearing it for 29 hours straight But hearing it made me feel better knowing it worked.
