Default loosing power in v-tec

Car was on the dyno being tuned with Hondata S100 today and I was loosing power in vtec before it hit 7000rpm, after 7000rpm it didnt gain any additional power when vtec engaged. It's an h22a with a t3/t04e 60-1 turbo with Skunk2 Pro series stage 1 cams. They were adjusted numerous times and it appears that it's either the cams that are too aggressive or that my half-ram horn maniflod doesnt flow enough...any thoughts about these cams and whether they are the right ones?

What is vtec set at to engage? Did your tuner hear any pinging or detonation when it was losing power at 7000rpm?

It doesnt really matter where it was set to engage at because regardless of where it was set it was loosing power. And he didnt mention any detonation or pinging noise but I will double check on that..thanks

When I had my car tuned a few weeks ago on a mustang dyno, right at the cross over point of vtec (about 5600rmp) my tuner heard a few pings, so he added a bunch of fuel there. On my dyno graph there is a noticiable dip in power there, but then it picks up great to 8200rpm. My engine didnt ping or detonate in the high end, only around the cross over point. So thats why asked were the vtec is set, it most likely isnt at 7000 tho right.

looks like the problem might be my manifold. I half a custom made manifold, two of the runners are long and two are short and apparently it doesn't flow enough. The vtec was set at 7000rpm that's because anything before that there was a power loss, no detonation or pinging.
