Why did you go turbo?
Why did you go turbo? Easiest route for speed? Drag racing or autocross? Just wanted to break 200whp or 400whp? And the most important: was it WORTH the time and the money?

i went turbo because of the power capability it could produce, plus 2 years ago not everybody and their mother had a turbo honda. As far as being worth the time and money, i would have to say yes. I will admit aftermarket turbo's are high maintanance so if you go this route make sure you enjoy fixing things that go wrong, especially if you start building your engine to achieve 400hp.

i would rather BE fast in a moving car, than simply LOOK fast standing still. there's a kid down the block with an eclipse, repainted it orange, did some custom body work, threw some 17"s on there and a 3 story high aluminum wing. everything under the hood and car is bone stock.

Really sorry about the title guys, I had two Honda-Tech New Topic windows open and accidentally switched around which topic goes where.
So, the question is Why did you go turbo, etc...? Sorry for the confusion!

TURBO is the ONLY way to go fast in a 4 cylinder. I knew I wanted my integra to be fast and I didnt waste anytime allmotor, supercharged, or with nitrous. I went turbo and I am SOOOOOO happy with it.

Really just depends on what you like doing.
I have always been really technical with setup's.
I started racing FWD RC car's way back in 6th grade (6 year's ago) and really got into the technical side of the car's. I had more fun making a custom wound motor then finding a great paint for the body.
So naturaly I took to the technical go-fast part of Honda's rather then the "look" part of it, although, I still admire the great figure of a beutiful Honda!!
Tamyia FWD civic hatch
custom wound 8 turn motor
custom gearing
ball differential
1.5" wide slicks
7 cell battery
Top speed we recorded : 45 MPH
