Looking for unique BOV (cat)
I am looking for a BOV that sounds like a cat when it triggers. Like meow meow cat. VVVVVVVRRRRROOOOOOMMMMMM-MEOW. Think it'd be interesting, or even one that sounds close and possibly modded to sound like that. Any ideas on how to mod a bov to sound like one, currently I have a crushed 1g dsm bov that leaks a little (why i'm looking for replacement) but it flutters, some people like it, I like the whoosh kind personally, but would really want one that sounds like a cat that's pissed off under my hood when I shift.

Re: Looking for unique BOV (doood)
I always thought it would be cool to take a whoopie cushion end and clamp it on the bov exspecially if you have a fart can muffler
vroooomm - fart noise* would really have great effect if the car ran rich and puffed black smoke
anything can be done that you can find a animal call for, get a duck call and a little bit of silicone
vroooomm-quack

I've seen a turkey "whistle" taped to a BOV. Considering that it was designed for the pressures a human mouth produces, it was a bit, strange, to hear it on the BOV. Sounded like a pissed off turkey on speed.
Now, I personally would never add anything to a BOV that could possibly slow down the escaping air. The whole point of a BOV is to relieve pressure, and any restriction will slow that down.

Re: Looking for unique BOV (TunerN00b)
I don't think they really make 'cat whistles'.
Pretty much any wild or domesticated cat is illegal to hunt. And usually when you do call them, either they don't give a **** (any kind), or are are going to charge at you and try eatting your stupid *** (wild).
I think this did give me a good idea though. I want to some day add a fuel-sprayer (propane/etc) into the exhaust, and have it shoot flames on decel. Best idea I now have (due to this thread) is to have a pressure/flow switch to the bov exit port. I know its ricer-ish and could do it with low-load enrichment, but everybody loves to play with fire once in a while

Re: Looking for unique BOV (B-Hatchie)
yeah , the best BOV to mount something to is a greddy type S with its pipe like outlet. Tial is a little difficult to mount something too

Re: Looking for unique BOV (SPOOLINmatt)
Yeah, it was a DSM. But my friend also put a duck call on his 2g with a Type RS. It would be like a normal duck call at low boost, but at like 18 psi it was just a horrendous whistle from the plastic flapper not being able to move fast enough.

Here's the "Duck call bitch!" video if anyone wants to be mildly entertained.
