Default Looking to hit 200whp+ with D series, what does it take? NO FLAMING!!!

MOTOR: D16a6
BOOST: JACKSON RACING SUPERCHARGER, 99 EX crank pulley
HEADER: OBX 4-1 Stainless
EXHAUST: TRUST/GREDDY CATBACK

PLANS: port and polished head with 'turbo cam' or custom grind
1.8L stroker motor (1.7L D series crank, sleeved)
MORE BOOST.... what pulley setup to hit 10 PSI???

DYNO TIME, DYNO TIME, DYNO TIME.

I want to prove that I can hit this mark.... and I know with some work, it can be done. (plus money)

dont tell me to go turbo......... ive done that
dont tell me to swap........ ive done that
dont tell me to add nitrous..... ive done that too.

I want a NON-VTEC SOHC relying on ONLY the supercharger and a great build/tune to hit my goal.

200+whp ???

its easily possible.....get a header, good exhaust, good management, JRSC w/ the smallest pulley possible, and do some head work to help it flow as best it can. Get a wilder cam too..i'm sure it wouldn't hurt!

what modifications would it take to bolt to the D series intake?

m64 is from the B series correct?

or is that the magnus thunderbird supercharger?

its an m62, and its on b18c, and h22. Check out the new adapter setup Endyn is selling for your d motor, to run the mp62.

awesome....

so i'd have to sell off my current JRSC, and buy the M62 charger and magnusen bypass valve, send them off to endyn. ?

does anyone know what the endyn modification costs?

or total with NEW blower + endyn?

im guessing this blower doesnt need to spin as fast as my current supercharger to make the same or more power? and pulley upgrades to run it faster WOULD net greater results.

no they are a direct bolt on to endyn's kit. so you buy the endyn kit, and then jsut bolt it all together. the blower does not need to go to endyn. you will have to tell them what kind psi your planning on running. so they knwo what pulley to include in your kit.

more help please.

just wondering if the long stroke..... stroker motor would net great results. or am i better off just adding a lot of boost?

any examples of D series OVER 200hp with a JRSC ???

The d-series is already a long stroke motor, you dont wanna stroke it anymore IMO.

i was working on a 1.7L crank D series for my turbo EG.... but i think i want to do that with this supercharged motor.

long stroke = torque.

basically i am going an old school hot rod way.

long stroke, more displacement, blower.

keeping it NON-VTEC.

honestly, I think you should seriously consider doing a vtec head. Besides the much larger cam selection, even if you had a custom cam made to similar vtec profiles, it wouldnt be very streetable and you would have a hard time idling it.

Personally I'd do a vtec head and sleeve it out to 78mm (like you mentioned earlier) to make it 1.8l. 10psi and shoot for 250whp.

If you still decide to get a custom cam made, talk to Delta cams.

i'd rather NOT do a vtec head. i know it would be easier to make the power...

but i want to do it non-vtec to show the D series guys, it can be done.

You'd win the race for sure, I'm a highschooler making 8.75 an hour with 20hours a week if I'm lucky.

But the motivation thing I'm up for.

On another note I've checked out the piston speed of a d17 versus a d16, and I'd still feel pretty comfortable rapping it to 8k with correct headwork.

ohhhhhhh ****!

I think I'll gain some serious torque with a JRSC and longer stroke D series.
