Default look at that nice engine, but WTH are that things?

I am talking about that thing where the a/c compressor sits usualy. What is this and why is this there? Funny crank pulley with belt there. I guess it is for an standalone, look at that sensor....for counting the tooth. What intake manifold is that.

yup, standalone. I know the tecll/lll uses a trigger wheel like that. Its actually a unit that you can buy off UR with the trigger wheel built in.

Thats a dry sump setup for the oil system.....badass and pretty expensive. Thats also a crank pickup sensor, wish I had one along with cam sensor and I would go with coil on plug and ditch the distributor all together.
But why on this motor? Thats a ****-*** meng/spark manifold. The turbo looks to be a smallish street turbo---definetly not a race only motor.

yumm

but i hate seeing that nipple on the end of the jg intake manifold

Moroso dry sump oiling systems are the safest, most dependable oiling systems available. They're popular in all forms of racing, especially where low chassis height is important for good handling. Horsepower gain is maximized because there is virtually no oil in the pan and no internal pump, allowing the windage tray or screen to run the full length of the pan.

Other advantages of a dry sump system include a remotely mounted oil tank for increased capacity, the ability to easily add remote oil coolers, more consistent oil pressure, adjustable oil pressure, improved scavenging, and increased ring seal due to greater pan vacuum. Brackets are included.

interesting. I didn't know they made dry sump systems for cars. Just airplanes that fly upside down

So i have been waiting to see one of those on a motor. I wanted one but was unsure of how it would fit/look/perform. mmmm i don't care now i'm gonna get it. I have been wanting to run the amsoil duel filtration for a while but cant because of weak honda oil pumps. hahaha great more money.

almost forgot. i would assume you need to remove the bottom engine mount to install that oil pump??????

I would say that motor is pretty race ready. I'm sure it is quite biult on the inside.

When is the last time you were at an import drag event? I think every car out there is now running dry sump systems. For the money its totally worth it. HP is increased by a good %'age. At nhra atco yesterday I dont think I noticed any car without one.

yeah, you need to remove the driver side torque mount.

I am not too sure about the internals, for the love of god, it has a meng manifold. ANyone that build motor and use dry sump knows better than that.

Hoenstly, You will never have a use of it. wet sump on honda oil pump is a great reliable parts. Honda oil pump and the gears are more reliable than you think, many 800 hp, mid 8's cars uses hodna stock oil pump and stock gear. I have seen pro dirive gear broke but haven't seen one stock gear broke as of yet and maybe I'll never will..

that manifold is the revhard equal length manifold which is made BY Meng. It isnt the standard manifold. From my understanding, however, it is no stronger.

Also it has a t4 flange and 6 bladed wheel so it isnt a baby turbo (meaning not a 60-1 or 62-1) either.

What's wrong with having the nipple on the end of the JG manifold?

I just think it looks funny. Another guy on here (AMERIKIN i think) had it taken off, had the hole filled, then sanded flush. Also had the lettering removed and the whole thing bead blasted. Looked much better.

Small only if you consider a Turbonetics T70 ceramic ball-bearing turbo small This is the motor used in the HondaTuning build up (yes I do get ricer mags sometimes ) And for anyone doubting the sweetness of this motor based on the manifold, it put out 536whp and 361 lb-ft of torque. . . now I dont know how long the manifold lasted but the motor is pretty sick.
