Log vs ram manifold low boost on high rev motor
Im looking at a revhard log mani or a used ramhorn.
I'm only running 6psi on a stockb16a
With a 50trim turbonetic turbo
I'm not sure if the manifolds would make a huge diff with low hp numbers
Because the b16 revs high I wanna get the ram because it make more power in the higher rpm
Would it make that much of a diff besides looks? Of I went log

Not for that size turbo. There's no reason to run a full equal length manifold like that for something 49lbs/min. the tubular logs are a nice medium to use (since you have to have a downpipe made for it anyway whether you have a used cast log or not).
Stay simple. especially with a B16 and stock cams. No need to go crazy. you'll do as much top end as the 50 trim you're using will allow, no problem.

i really dont think u would notice a diff in power with that little boost but seriously logs are so ugly and they get all rusty i would buy the ram on looks alone, i do have the ram and i love it.

I do plan on building a block so within a year hope I should have one, should I go log now and ram next year? I could easily sell the manifold, seeing as I'm buying it new and only using it for a year maybe 2 the latest

Would you rather spend 5-600 bucks on a manifold (saying you would buy a good one, not Ebay ****.) for 6 bls of boost or 100? That's the question to ask yourself.

So I was goin off that
Either a used 350-400 ram
Or a new 320-400 log

Not a cast one like this: from Neukin or Blox or anything of that sort.
InlinePRo is an exception
A "Ramhorn" on a 50trim, just makes no sense unless you really plan to put a much larger turbo later on.

Spoolin' performance
Go-autowerks
Best ones to use.. not hard.
Check this person out. Tubular Log manifold from Spoolin' Performance and over 450whp.

Only 300 same price as a revhard
http://www.go-autoworks-store.com/go...-manifold.html
Only 295
Nice I think they both use 38mm wastegate and can bolt to a t3/t4 turbo
Just gotta ask which ones better,
Goauto,
Revhard or
SP?
There all about the same price

Re: Log vs ram manifold low boost on high rev motor
i just removed my blox manifold in favor of an inline pro ss, being able to compare both side by side i can honestly say there is no comparison period. It might seem like there similar by just comparing pics online but trust me there not, the runners are smaller, horrible merge, less than ample clearance for the dipstick, wastegate issues with the vtec head...for sub 300whp sure its fine but who ever stays at that level.

I just said not to bother with the Blox/Neukin cast manifolds. I just put the picture up there with that... I JUST DID IT..
Why help when no one is READING
You can't lose between the Go-Autowerks or the Spoolin'. There is no Better in this situation. they both work..

its cast iron so it does have a rust colored look to it now, its almost three years now. the only parts i have to go with are a vband downpipe/up pipe and dumptube, if you need any other info just pm me im not trying spam up the tech forum.

Sorry I seen you did say blox
Is there a dp that will bolt up with the sp mani and wastegate dump
I'm looking into the spoolin one
Or would I have to custom make one or go atmospheric dump

Re: Log vs ram manifold low boost on high rev motor
buying new is always a good option but at the same time the ramhorn will save in the long run because lets face it we know 6psi turns into 16psi,26psi, etc
