The Little SOHC that Could.....Finally Dyno'd my Z6 at 12psi!!!! 4/12 Videos Added!!
Well, I finally made it to the dyno before the motor gets put in. They was a dyno day at FC Customs in Springfield, IL yesterday and I decided to take advantage of it. 3 runs for $45, not bad.
Videos added!!!!

Some of you have seen my post on my car and hondata setups. They can be viewed here.

So everyone knows, this is a STOCK BLOCK!!
I first looked at the dyno screen and saw the 217 number and was like, not bad. The gentleman in the drivers seat doing the pull says to me "Ah, that's the torque number". I about lost my McDonald's at that point.
The first run netted 262whp and 217wtq. All of this on 12.3xx psi. I couldn't believe it!! The next run I decided to fix the horrible A/F line that was occurring. I fixed it a little but I was going to need more than 2 runs to get a straight line. I am guessing about 6-7 more pulls would have done it. I didn't really see a need since the new setup was going in and I didn't want to push my luck.
I then got greedy. I upped the AVCR ~2-2.5 psi. We only got to about 5800 rpm when the CEL popped on solid and the car stopped. I thought she blew. Turns out it didn't. Car was perfectly fine. We tried it again with the same result. The only thing I can think of is the stock map sensor doesn't like that much boost. I didn't feel the like retuning everything with the 3 bar sensor so I just left the stock sensor in (I know, I know but I have been running it this way for a year just richening the latter part of the boost map to compensate for it. Not the best solution but it works....................to a certain point I now think).
Anyway, the last run would have been somewhere around 290-300 is my guess. Right at about 1 bar of boost. Not bad for a little SOHC?!
Dyno from yesterday is here.
I have vids of this but I need to find a place to host them first. 1 is on a digital camera the rest are on my MiniDV camera. Yesterday got me syked about getting the car done now!!! Enjoy.
I wanted to add this was all tuned by myself with the advice of some Honda-Tech'ers Like I said, the car's AF could have been improved to get a nice line but the changes I made I could tell made a difference. By they way, the A/F up top was a conservative 11.8:1.

Here I am (Hooded Sweatshirt) telling him to put the strap on the Jimfab Traction bar. I thought you would like to see my better half.

About 1 year.............................~2500 miles I don't get the car out that much. It sat for about 3 months and I never touched it. It started right up at the beginning of March. I think it was pissed I didn't use it.

Re: (ladysman)
I believe that the stock MAP sensor can only read up to approximately 15 psi. I had a secondary sensor installed that my E-Manage reads. I'm a Fluidyne radiator away from trying 15 --> 16 psi. Your posted numbers R a good incentive for me to start saving for the dyno time.
