Link Extra Injector Controller
Hey, Im just about to turbo my JDM d15b (1500 SOHC Vtec) civic with a low boost/standard internal setup. The company doing my turbo setup reccomended using an extra injector contoller ('power link' - http://link-electro.co.nz/powerlink.html) tuned on their dyno for engine management. Im just looking at thoughts/advice on this?
(i'l also be using a clamp link to trick the MAP sensor).
Any help would be appreciated.

uhr additional injectors? how much hp are you trying to end up with. wouldn't an fmu >> inline fuel pump >> fpr >>and your stock injectors be a better setup. I don't even like the idea of letting my fuel vaporizing and flowing through my intake tract into the intake mani......condensation would be my concern...vapor can still collect on the walls......but that's my bias opinion. It doesn't seem like your going for high hp goals...so go with what most kits come with as state above. Maybe an SMC would finish it off....but that's a cheap alternative I think.
or go with larger injectors 450cc dsm + early honda resistor box + OBDI injector clips(http://www.muller.net/sonny/resistorbox/) >> Fuel Rail >> SX/Aeromotive/ Paxton FPR >> Upgrade fuel lines >> Walbro 255lph Intank High Pressure Fuel Pump >> SMC (cheaper), SAFC/VAFC - or - Hondata/EMS (expensive)
Concerning the SMC...ECG states that you can incorporate your stock fuel pump...maybe in your case...but I'm tryin to sort that out with my setup
try searching too it helps me out alot

Ok thanks for that, although I find some of your codes (fmu, fpr, SMC etc consfusing) Thanks anyway, just took a bit of reading to get
.
I'l be using a 300hp fuel pump, & around 5psi boost (standard internals) as im looking for a safe setup at the moment, i'l look at raising the boost a bit if all the fueling is sweet, Thats why I need advice about this read:first question.
The reason I ask this (first post) is this is what the Performance shop doing my setup reccommended since im on a fairly tight budget.
What I really want to know is, Will it be safe?

how much are they charging for the extra injectors and modifications necessary for the installation...and what additional injector controller....what's the final tally in price? fmu (VORTECH fuel management unit / 12:1 disk) + inline fuel pump + stock injectors + stock fuel pump + FPR (fuel pressure regulator) till you can afford something bigger and better for the time being. this would be fine for five psi but if you decide to raise the boost your going to have to swap out the injectors to like 440cc or 550cc and get some piggyback SAFC or the SMC. correct me if i'm wrong fellas

The link can be more precisely tuned, espeacially if using multiple injectors, if your interested Mamaboy checkout the link..
('power link' - http://link-electro.co.nz/powerlink.html)
The only problem I see you encountering VTCPWR is the fact you won't be able to adjust your ignition timing on boost perhaps someone can reccomend are general amount of ignition retardation you could use, probably don't have to retard it untill you go past 7psi..

Sweet. Mamaboy - All up im spending around $3500 NZD which I think is about $1750 USD. So its a pretty sweet priced setup & ive seen some of the work they've done before like on turbozxi's car which is very nice. My setup wont be as neat and tidy as his but That will come in the future when I can upgrade things as the $ rolls in.
The main thing i wanted to know from this post was whether anyone had used an extra injector controller and a device to fool the map sensor and the results.
