Default Limits of SRP shelf pistons

I'm looking at tuning a stock sleeve LS/Vtec with shelf SRP 9.2:1 pistons for LS next week. Motor has a B16 head on it, so I figure compression will end up in the 9.6-9.7ish range. Perfectly boost friendly still.

I'm wondering:
-Has anyone actually obliterated a SRP piston from too much power, and was it relatively certain tuner error was not involved?
-Has anyone run SRP pistons in a "high" (400+whp) configuration for an extended period of time.

I'm not interested in what your baby's momma or your daddy's cousin said about the limits of SRP pistons. If you don't have something pertinent to say based on experiences STFU. MMMk?

lol, i don't have any facts, but I think the pistons will hold up just as long as the stock sleeves will.

Thanks. I'll see how it does. Car made 280mustang/345 dynojet as a built LS on 16ish psi SC50. Now has a B16 head w/ GSR cams and valvetrain. Thinking of shooting for 380-400 mustang and calling it quits.

Here is one that Jeff tuned: http://forums.evans-tuning.com...t=srp

Customer has been running for quite some time now at that power level. He hasn't had any issues as of yet.

I think they will handle just as much as the block (sleeves) , like stated above. I have a set going in my street B16.

Ran SRP's for about a year and a half, the sleeves cracked before I could determine how much the pistons could handle.
