Limit Straps?
My setup is great, but i spin so bad on street tires, do limit straps really make a difference, i already have hasports, omni power all around and a full race bar and a lsd 15 inch rims with falkins
what more can i do to hookup my tires on the street, i was going to get some 225 bfg's becuase my tires now spin so fucken bad. Would Limit Straps really help and where can i get them at?

What else can we do for traction? I also have LSD, full poly bushings and motor mounts, traction bars, stiff springs in the rear, and good street tires. Its not enough.
Im going to run 225 wide tires, maybe wider if I can fit em.

As everyone else stated you would benefit from a decent drag radial. Hit up Buck02, he sells limit straps for a decent price and they seem to be pretty sturdy. Is this car going to be driven on the streets? I am not positive if this is true or not but I have heard that it is kind of dangerous to sport limit straps on the street. But this may or may not be true though.

take a vid of you taking off with your street tires and see how much the front end raises up, if it dont then you dont need straps, if your rear just squats then stiffen that up. it all depends on how your car reacts

Just because your car lifts in the front and squats in the rear doesnt exactly mean you need limit straps. A higher spring rate ( i.e.900 lbs. or 1000 lbs.) would reduce/prevent your car from squating. I uprgraded to skunk2 drag launch coilovers a couple of years back when my Si was still on the road and this reduced squating drasticly.

Turn the boost down, get an alignment if you haven't done so already and get some drag radials..
You don't wanna use the limit straps on the street because for them to work right the need to be preloaded which will take away from suspension travel, every time the suspension would try to push the car back up after a bump the straps would reach their limit snap and stop the body of the car very hard.
I think it would be very stressfull on the frame driving with them prloaded and going over pot holes all the time. I think there are better ways of curing tire spin without compomising safety.

yep, i like the avcr, it can be tricky to get it to learn the gear. but once u got it set, its pretty sweet.

What shocks do you have? I found having quality shocks made a good difference as well as making sure the tires are the correct size for the rim. Putting to wider tyre on the rim will give you less contact as it bow like this " ) ".
the avcr has gear dependent speed dependent and rpm dependent boost controll
2 programable settings and a scramble boost button that allows you to jump to a high boost setting with a momentary switch

no ******* way. so I can limit boost to be like 15psi 1st and 2nd and then 28 3rd and 4th? like two stage= 2 programmable settings? Or i can change the boost in every gear and also set the ramp up per rpm? in any case I likey.

you can do all of that ...you can set the duty cycle in 500 rpm increments for the rpm based boost...
it has a A settign and B setting for street and track so you save your settings....that thing does anything you need its just a little complicated at first
