Default LHT Intercooler for the JRSC

I have a question about this kit. I would like to know the if the intercooler inside the jrsc manifold is simply a single tube, or is it like fins? I've seen the picture of it and it doesn't really answer my question. is there a cross section of it? maybe some one from LHT can elaborate more.

that's very hard to quanitify b/c the i/c changes boost pressure output. But it has reduced intake temps post/blower from 220+ to the mid to low 100's, a gigantic increase. Seen it with my own two eyes. Remember, for every 11 degrees reduction of intake temp, you gain 1% power.

Thanks!!! I'm about to throw over a grand at this guy and this was the first thrird party review I've heard on his shop. Anymore input or firsthand experience with the intercooler itself?

just from what i've seen about them that would be the only way i would get a supercharger. it looked like fins around a coolant tubing. the best design i've seen for the jrsc.

from the research that i've done....i *think* he's using cores from a company named "laminova" ( http://www.laminova.se ) or at least something similar. maybe john can verify this (if he wants). heres a PDF file giving more info on the cores: http://www.laminova.se/download/pdf/Core.pdf

these are very similar to the intercooler cores that LHT uses. Very effective yet compact.

Why haven't we seen a dyno plot. I know they can be unreliable from the source (Jackson Racing plots) but someone has to have the intercooler and some before and after dyno plots. Come on guys, put up some plots!

this is the first dyno comparison that LHT had after installation of prototype. this is on his own B20/VTEC JRSC boosting 8-9psi. other that intercooler installed all else the same. this was a 29HP and 26TRQ improvement at the point of this chart. unfortunately a belt failure stopped the tuning process at this point. has not had the opportunity to dyno any further (time constraints) but he is confident that 300HP is attainable. his crx is a daily driver.
