Default Laskey Built LS/VTEC

Is anyone familiar with the Laskey built b18? Im sure theres lots of you but i haven't found anything under the search on HT.
http://laskeyracing.com/shop/bseries.htm

I want to do an ls/vtec for 350whp+.
Plans are GT3076R, built B16 head. No meth, pump gas only.
Skunk2 Turbo2 cams(or better...hopefully Bisimoto can make a cam for B-series by then)
and more...just wanting to know what you guys have done on the laskey ls/vtec and tips and suggestions thanks

Laskey racing has been members on this site for quite some time and they know what they are doing. Many many members run Benson sleeved blocks as well...I myself recently sent mike my b18b block for benson to sleeve.
If you have any questions you can always email them. Mike always responds to my emails ASAP and is super helpful. I recommend them to anyone.

I've always heard good things about Laskey. But IMO you can just go with the economy build for 350whp. Sleeves are not required for that power level.

Laskey does VERY good work and Mike is a pleasure to deal with... search engine here sucks but you would find they have a very good reputation and been a member here for a long time doing top notch work.

Laskey sleeved motor here and took care of me on PortFlow headwork as well. Will get my business if and when I need to freshen this motor up or if I ever need some other one done in the future.

I'm running a benson sleeved motor that Earl (RIP) sold me and Mike put together. CP/Pauter. It's been at 500whp since late 2006.

Just to show you how cool they are. I had a piston melt after an injector failed and leaned out the cylinder. This was 1 month after i got it back. They ended up rebuilding the motor from 83mm to 84mm. Sold me the CPs at cost. I think I paid $1000 for the entire rebuild. You won't find a more reputable motor builder.

If the bottom end ever starts to show signs of wear I will be sending it back to them.

You should look into the S2 Tuner1 cams before using the turbo ones. Hell on ITR cams, 84mm GSR, and a portflow worked head I made 360whp on the wastegate (10psi)

I made 342whp on a very budget built LSV.

81.5mm GSR block
LS crank, rods and pistons
B16 head
GSR cams
t3/t4 57 trim @10psi 342whp 243 tq
The whole motor build and turbo setup with tune cost me less then 4k

LOL, I've heard of this guy & yet didn't know he's about 10 minutes away from my house! If my car isn't running this week, I might have to take it elsewhere to get finished. Four months late isn't a good thing

well I already had an extra GSR block and LS crank so i put them to use with the B16 head off the B16 that was in my car at the time. turbo setup tuned was 3200, and then little odds and ends like gauges, machine work, etc came up for a total bill right at 4k. 342whp and 245tq on b16 gears w/ lsd as a daily was ALOT of fun.... i miss that setup.

he has a great reputation, but 350whp is doable without sleeves, and those skunk2 turbo cams will make you lose power....

Thanks a bunch for all the WICKED replies. The skunk2 cams arent what i will be going with now. I have also heard about Evans-Tuning. Props to Laskey for building such a killer reputation that means a lot when it comes to making a decision. I just need to contact him for shipping to Canada etc.
